Trinity Barger is an artist who is currently working out of Boone, N.C. He works with various metals and focuses on sculptural, ornamental and functional creations. While his primary medium is metals, he also works with wood, stone, and paint. The works Barger creates have a refined finish that gives intense attention to detail. Barger has a background in the automotive and racing industry which connects directly to his interest in metal fabrication. Currently a student at Appalachian State University, he is working toward a B.F.A. degree in Studio Art with a focus in sculpture. Between August 2018 and June 2022 Trinity worked at Blue Mountain Metalworks where he both collaborated to design and fabricate forged architectural metalwork. His extensive fabrication and welding skills help him to create a broad range of works. Much of his work is based around real life experiences and interests. He strives to make work that immerses viewers and enables them to connect with it in their own way. His goal is to own a fabrication shop in his hometown of Statesville, N.C. where he works on sculptural pieces as well as ornamental ironwork. He is expected to graduate in the spring of 2023.
